Hi, I'm Alex. I photograph the moments people want to keep.
I am drawn to genuine moments and to the light that only lasts a few minutes. My work runs from glacial lagoons in Iceland and cheetahs at first light in Kenya to youth football under Friday night lights, newborns in their first hours and families saying goodbye.
For me the magic of photography lives in the unscripted moment. On a session I work quietly and keep things relaxed, so people forget the camera and just get on with being themselves. That is when the real pictures happen.
