License terms

These terms cover every print and digital download (the Works) bought from alexjphotos.com. By buying a Work you agree to them.

1. Personal use license

When you buy a print or a digital download you receive a limited, non exclusive, non transferable license to use it for personal, non commercial purposes. That includes:

Displaying a print in your home, office or another private setting.
Using a digital download on your own devices, for example as a wallpaper or screensaver.
Giving a print or download as a personal gift.

You may not use a Work for advertising, marketing or promoting a business, resell or distribute it, or copy, reproduce or make derivative works from it.

2. Commercial use

Any business use, including advertising, promotion, resale or use in a commercial setting, needs written permission and a separate commercial license fee. Ask for a commercial license.

3. Copyright

All photographs on alexjphotos.com belong to Alex J Photography LLC and are protected by copyright. Buying a print or download does not transfer the copyright. Alex J Photography LLC keeps all rights, including reproduction rights.

4. No changes

You may not alter a Work, for example by adding text, logos or filters, without written permission.

5. Digital downloads

You may keep and view a digital download on your personal devices and print it for personal use. You may post it on your personal social media accounts when the post is non commercial and credits alexjphotos.com or @alexjpics. You may not upload it anywhere others can download it, or use it on business accounts, without written permission.

6. Watermarks

Some preview images carry a watermark. Removing or altering a watermark is not allowed.

7. End of the license

Your license ends automatically if these terms are broken. You must then stop using the Work and delete or destroy every copy.

8. Damaged prints and download problems

All sales are final because every print is made to order. If a print arrives damaged or defective, or a download does not work, tell us within 5 days of receiving it and we will replace it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes are handled by the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force on the day you buy applies to that purchase.
